Issued as part of a soldiers kit during the gulf war after the redesign of the four tone standard DPM. These desert shorts are lightweight and breathable, perfect for summer hiking and camping. Since 2011, No 5 Dress has no longer been issued due to the introduction of the Personal Clothing System – Combat Uniform (PCS-CU). The shorts are equipped with 5 pockets and have various tight locking systems using both Velcro an the soldier 95 buttons.
