🪖 What Is Jietai Camo?
Often referred to as JSDF Dot Jeitai or Flecktarn-based camouflage, Jietai is the standard pattern for the Japan Ground Self‑Defense Force (JGSDF), along with adaptations across other JSDF branches ().
🔹 Historical Background
•The first domestically designed camouflage, Type II “Jietai Dot”, was officially adopted in 1991, replacing earlier Type I (“Airborne Camo”) from the 1970s–90s .
•Type I was used by elite Airborne and Artillery units and is now rare .
